HAVE: Rare seed-grown Ficus destruens

philofriend(z5 Central MO)August 25, 2010

I grew these from seed. Native to Australia. Immature leaves are fuzzy and orange, maturing to dark green. These are about 7 months old and in 4-inch pots. Plants are around 8-inches tall. I have kept them in smaller pots to reduce their growth. Very healthy with great root systems. A couple have big caudex bases. Have been hardy and easy to grow. I have them outdoors with morning to noon sun and afternoon shade. Can send photos if you send me your e-mail. Prefer to trade for other rare Ficus species, Aroids (such as Philodendrons and Anthuriums), Euphorbia or Agave. I would also consider other plants. I hope to find some of these a home before winter.
