Bonsai problems

LugaidJanuary 6, 2014

Hi, Im having some problems with a bonsai I own, for starters I dont know which kind of bonsai it is (the name of the actual plant ) and besides its leaves seem dry but theyre not and they have some red/brown colouring that doest seem healthy at all. Any advice appreciated , THX .

It looks like it might be commonly called dwarf brush cherry, formerly Eugenia myrtifolia, now classified widely as Syzgium paniculatum.

To help you, we'd need more info ..... like a description of your watering/fertilizing habits, where you live, plant indoors or out, how much light it gets, and anything else you can think of that would be helpful.

Odds favor over-watering or an accumulation of soluble salts in the soil solution - but that's just the odds.
