Winter thaw - OK to plant tulips in whiskey barrels?

jubileej(6a)January 10, 2013

We have had highs in the 40s and 50s mid January! Might I hope for results if I finally plant my tulip bulbs? I figure safest in the whiskey barrels out front.

Hoping is giving it a shot - go for it. Tulips don't establish roots in the fall so can be planted late.
