Help! Tulips already sprouting!

kentstar(5b, NE Ohio)March 10, 2009

I bought 30 lily-flowering tulips (White flower farms Corps de Ballet's) last autumn. I planted them in September/early October. They are already starting to come up! But the place where I bought them says that they are "late blooming", or May blooming tulips. I think its too early for them to come up now. Anyone else have this probem? Can I do anything about it though? Or should I do anything about it? Or just let nature takes its course?

Thanks all,

kentstar

I don't think the time that they emerge really has all that much bearing on their bloom time. I see they are a blend of different tulips and they most probably will be later that other varieties.....so. let nature take its course and try and stop being concerned.

I have a lot of different varieties of daffs emerging now, but they certainly will not all be blooming at the same time during the daff season.

I hope you will share some pics of all your newly planted bulbs from last fall...hint, hint.

I can't wait to post some pics! I have a journal set up on Dave's Garden with all my info, but no pics yet :( ! I planted everything last year, so there will be a lot of pics to come :) I guess I should be glad that they are coming up at all lol.

Don't worry, they know when to come up. That's what they do.
