What are these plants?

I have two types of plants i am curious about. One has maple leaf shaped leaves, and is pretty large( about 2 feet in diameter), it is about 5 years old. I have another plant, looks like black large-leafed grass. How do i propogate these plants and what are they called?

The grass, as the link suggests, is black mondo grass.

The first may be Abutilon, aka flowering maple. Not a maple at all but does feature large, maple-shaped leaves. It is also a member of the mallow family and many of these plants also have maple-shaped leaves and are common perennials. Would need a photo to confirm :-)

My question is, how do you post pics? i cant figure it out! And its not abulition. The leaves are maple shaped, but have a red tone. The plant never seems to flower, but sends up seed pod stalks.
