Best cucumber for containers?

rockguy(7a)January 28, 2011

I'm asking for opinions for a good cuke to grow outside in containers in zone 6 TN. I'm thinking bush types with short vines, but maybe gynoecious type would be better producer overall and might be worth tying up. What do you think?

rock,

I grow in 31 gallon containers. Varieties that do well that I grow are:

Diva
Sweet Success
County Fair
Straight Eight

Here is my Diva from the 2010 planting:

What about Spacemasters? Anyone tried them? I haven't tried them yet, but was thinking about it next go 'round.
