When do I plant Caladiums ?

rolacoyMarch 26, 2010

I bought a bunch of Caladium bulbs at HomeDepot in the plastic bags a couple of weeks ago. We are out of town this week but I want to plant them this next week when we git home. I live just inside the Texas state line on I-20 west of Shreveport, Louisiana. Our temperature should be no lower than 45 degrees this late in the year.

I don't know much about plants, but am learning. I also bought some other bulbs out of the same racks, but I do not remember what they were.

plant when the soil warms. I was told to plant after Mother's Day.

On the bag it says Feb-Mar for our area, but it still seemed to cool in early March so I have waited. I don't know when Mother's day is, I must find out or I will be in worse trouble than planting bulbs. lol I forgot to show my pictures link, so it is below.
