Commercial Container Business

Mommybird5555February 28, 2014

Our small town has a large tourist industry, but sadly most of the business have no containers outside to make them attractive...a few concrete ones with a lonely shrub or pine.

I am interested in learning how to start up a commercial container business and welcome all wisdom, websites, helpful books, etc. I have been gardening for over 30 years, have had years of experience working in a high-end nursery, and have had other home businesses.

I am eager to learn from those who are already successfully doing this! Thank you!

I've been self employed for about 15 years and have a lot of experience working with small businesses. To be successful you will need to sell them on how having attractive plants in front of their store will increase sales enough to cover the cost. If you have the resources, try offering the service for free for a limited time and see what kind of response you get. Chances are, the business owners will get so many compliments on the planters that they'll hire you. By all means, keep us informed on your progress.
