Has anyone heard of this?

I just noticed that the stem of one of my World Expression tulips splits half way up into two stems with two flowers. I don't mind at all (I wish they all did that!) I just have never seen it before.

I've seen it on other bulbs a few times, just not tulips. Something to watch for. Thanks.

I have seen it a few times on tulips, particularly the multiflowering kind.

My painted daisies do it every year. Would love to learn more about this...
