Allium foliage... spring frost

carrie630(z7bNC)April 7, 2009

Was it necessary to cover the foliage (no flowers yet)? I never cover any other bulbs, but alliums are new to me...

Thanks

No, the foliage is not typically bothered by spring frost.

Thanks - never got the frost - but just wanted to check. I would imagine most bulb foliage emerging in early spring would be frost tolerant - am I right?

Thanks,

Carrie
