I've had three of these plants for years:

I've forgotten what they are. They produce lots of buds, but usually only one of them turns into a flower. This is what it looks like:

So you know what they are? The way things are now, they take up too much space for so little productivity. What can I do to encourage more blooms? They get sun, and water when necessary, and fertilizer about once a year.

Some type of narcissus (daffodil), I'd wager.

looks like they're crowded;
separate them so that each plant has access to more nutrients in the soil.

If you have too many, have a plant swap!

(very pretty flower!)

Looks very much like a poet's narcissus. I've never seen one with that many petals.

When the foliage yellows I would dig up the bulbs and work bonemeal or superphosphate into the soil.

This is one of my favorite daffs but likes more winter chill than we receive. I don't know why the buds dry up.

Typical bud blast on double daffodils. I have almost given up on doubles as only about 1 year in 5 do i get good bloom because of it. I dont get this on the singles, but on most of the doubles.

Your flower would be a double white narcissus were it opening correctly.
