Some of the other species of Haemanthus do come in white as well as red.

Love those starry little flowers! Cheeky!

I have only had them through one season and they did not multiply, the bulbs did get larger. I think they will multiply in succeeding years. Al

Love it. Your pictures give me nostalgia.
It was a sight each winter when I was growing up.

Recently, I dug up a bunch from my brother's garden and planted them in mine in northern Thailand. :-)

....whenever i see 'Thailand'... the first word to pop in my brain is 'Caladium'... I must admit that I have fallen in love with these lovely plants from Thailand... but the sad thing is that they aren't available in my country .. :(

anyways... thank You so much for the compliments...

Last year from newly purchased bulbs the flower bloomed right on the ground with no foliage. After the flower died foliage grew from the bulb. This, its second year, the foliage is growing now, and I presume it will send up a flower stalk later. The bulb doubled in size last year. Al
