Bell Peppers

zendog54September 17, 2009

Almost all of the bell peppers I'm harvesting have a big dead spot on the pepper. It looks kind of woody.

Could this be due to inconsistent watering.

Any ideas?

Sounds like blossom end rot, and yes it's from inconsistant watering. Not sure if adding lime or bone meal would help the rest of them at this point. I'd probably snip off the damaged fruit too, as it won't be edible and will only sap energy from your plant.

Maybe have a look in the tomato or pepper area for a fix?
