Where do you buy liatris?

I'm curious- I'm trying to find a good source of large bulbs. Any recommendations?

The Liatris I'm thinking of is more of a rootstock (like Sanguinaria) so checking with a perennials grower could be a good start. Or a nursery that specialises in native plants.

I purchased some tubers through Michigan bulb this spring and they were of good size--larger than the ones I had purchased at a local big box store. I have really mixed results from Michigan bulb--their quality varies a lot from product to product.

Once you get one mature plant, you'll get new ones every year. I have literally hundreds of seedlings that bloom in one or two years and keep increasing in size, as well as dropping easily germinating seeds. If you want first season "bulbs," I could dig some up in the fall.
