When to Re-plant Daffodil?

achang89(Z6)July 1, 2013

Now finally the daffodil leaves turn yellow, I just wonder if I can dig up the bulbs and re-plant them. Or I should wait until fall to do?

The bulbs have been there for about 5 years, time to go to a new location. I'm not sure if I get more bulbs now.

They will be fine if moved now. They're daggone hard to find when the foliage is not there. I've moved them when just emerging, blooming, when accidentally "found" with shovel while invisible/dormant. The only risk is possibly delaying the show next spring but I doubt that will be an issue for older, established bulbs like that which will have almost 3/4 of the year to re-settle.
