HAVE: Early cold tolerant heirloom muskmelon
I have seeds of a local family variety of muskmelon that was developed at least prior to the 1930s in northern Idaho by a local. It is a stable variety that typically produces 3-4 lb melons that are very flavorful. They were selected to set fruit under cold summer nights and mature earlier than any other open pollinated variety I have tried in this climate. The only variety of similar maturity is Minnesota Midget and the fruits are much larger than Minnesota Midget. The variety was given to my family over 60 years ago by the neighbor that developed it.
