Leaning Lilies

Is it normal for oriental, and ornipet lilies to lean and fall over? It seems all of mine do this, while my asiatics stand straight and tall.

My orientals die out if I plant them in places with too much sun, yet they lean out towards the sun like crazy when I put them in places where there is enough shade to survive.

I have to get out there and stake them early before they have time to lean over too far.

They sure are pretty, but darn they are fussy compared to the asiatics.
