Question on Daffodils

Gretchen WoodOctober 16, 2013

I have a big round glass vase that has a plastic disc that has spikes to hold up bulbs that are emerged in water halfway around the bulb in the vase. I think mine held tulips but would daffs start to sprout in this vase type container?

I have never done daffodils, only hyacinths, and I have never seen them grown this way. You might have a problem with the height and them falling over. Also the bulbs should be set just above the water. They certainly shouldn't be submerged half way. If they touch the water they will rot not root.
