Bulb foliage ID?

gardenerme(z9/21 inland socal)October 21, 2010

Can anyone id the bulb foliage in this pic? It is grass-like,very narrow, with a white stripe down the center. Keep in mind that this is socal (no winter) so this could be something that comes up in the spring for colder climates. Thanks!

Looks like lycoris radiata to me.

Crocus serotinus var salzmannii perhaps? Due to flower in autumn.

Has a pale goldy-brown bulb coat and divides readily. Leaves last all winter and start to release in spring without fully going brown or yellow. Likes winter damp and tolerates autumn drought.

Thanks to all of you for your help. It appears that Donnabaskets will be the closest: lycoris radiata. I won't know until next fall, but I did plant them, so I think she is right. Thanks again to all of you.
