Which is whitest white allium?

linnea56(z5 IL)November 30, 2009

Collecting info, probably for next year.

Most I have seens in pics look really ivory or too greenish white for what I'd like. Looking at tall ones for contrast with my Purple Sensations and Gladiator.

Thanks!

What about 'Mount Everest'? It is described both as having pure white blooms, and elsewhere as being creamy white. It is the best "tall white". The other whites I grow are 'Ivory Queen' (very short) and of course the late flowering garlic chives (pure white). 'Mt. Everest' is supposedly the white form of 'Mars'.

Here is a link that might be useful: Allium Mt. Everest
