Need to know the name of a plant...

gypsygirl_ky(il)March 7, 2006

It was described in a book I found, Southern Living, but not pictured. White flowers, heirloom, smells like vanilla and cloves. That is all there is to go on. She called it a Spice Pink, but that isnt the real name. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be? Just sounded great and I love scented plants for my rose garden. Thanks to all that might know... Mandy

The folks at name that Plant are the best.

What comes to mind is any number of cottage pinks. They have evergreen/blue gray foliage, have a clove like fragrance, and come in shades and combinations of pink, white and reds.
