WHY DIDN'T MY HOLLYHOCKS COME UP THE NEXT YEAR???? HELP,THANK YOU

did ya make shure they reseeded? i only ask cause i have clay rocky soil were mine are n have to take a claw to the ground n loosen up the soil so they can get down in. otherwise the'll wash away or birds or somthing will take off with the seeds.

I start mine in a flower pot so they are are near the house and I can keep them damp. They have a low germination rate so if i plant 10 seed I may get only 2 plants. Good luck. HP
