New to the convo, so happy I found it...

First and most importantly, I got some iris in the mail yesterday. They have established roots. I don't know what kind they are, but when can I plant them, how deep and how far apart.

Thanks,

-Monica

i am zone 8. if i got them today i would stick them in the ground. but if your ground freezes you might want to just put them in a pot. do not use soil that has fertilizer in it as that can cause the iris to rot. if your ground doesn't freeze and it's only cold where you are i would think you could plant them outside now.

it's better to ask someone in the same zone as you though.
on the main page you will see the iris forum. go there and pose your question.

i just wanted to respond as no one else had. barb
