Is it okay to transplant cannas in zone 7 at Thanksgiving?

quiltingfoxNovember 23, 2008

I have been searching GW posts, but still need more information. A friend of mine lives in zone 7 in the Dallas, TX, area and is wondering if it is okay to transplant cannas right now or whether to wait until the spring. Would love some advice hopefully today or tomorrow on the subject.

Best to you and many thanks,

Hey...Why not try posting at The Texas Forum. It looks like anyone can post there, though some state specific are for members from those specific states only.

My thinking was that spring would be best, as they won't root in or anything yet this fall, and might likely just rot before the spring.
