Growing Mammoth Russian Sunflower in Containers

Would this work? If so the pots hold 1.25 cubic feet of soil. How many seeds would you put in the pot. Thanks so much.

It will work ok, but the heads & plants will be smaller than in the ground. Watch too, for them being top-heavy and/or wanting to topple out of the soil - you'll probably need to support/secure.
