Anybody interested in this? I read mixed reports about it's usefulness VS it's invasive potential.
If you are interested , read a bit about it before offering a trade.
Its a lovely plant here in my zone. I understand its very invasive in warmer and wetter climes like Pacific and Gulf Coasts. My wife adores it for its winter foliage and the berry spikes in fall. Flower spathes are massive, about 8-12" tall and palest cream tissue like but somewhat hidden by the leaves. Will spread from seed and offsets, but again, not a problem in my area.
Thank you for your wonderful offer. Yes, this is such a pretty plant. I'll send you postage if you would ship a few pieces in April or May, whichever seems better in this year of crazy weather.
PS I grew up in Hellertown PA. Still have one brother in PA
I have quite a bit of it, if you are still looking for a trade.
I planted it in a self contained bed under a tree where I have had trouble getting anything to grow (technically its invasive here) and I really like it. This bed is shallow and I believe over an old septic system, and it seems that invasive plants are the only thing that will work there ha.
Thanks Princess G. I think I'll just try a couple from Geo and see. how it goes. I wanted to put them at the edge of the woods. Don't care if they come into the grass but don't want to disrupt the woods area. Appreciate the helpful info.
