What can I seal wooden planters with?

Jane RaffertyMay 29, 2013

I bought 3 gorgeous uncoated wooden planters and don't want the weather or plants to ruin them. What can I use to seal them to make them waterproof that won't be toxic to things planted into them?

There are various wood sealants and preservatives that are 100% organic. Most HD's or Lowes carry them. Not necessarily permanent - they ony last a couple of seasons before needing to be reapplied.
