Camouflaging ground satellite dish eyesore

canamupApril 12, 2011

Dish Network recently updated our equipment by removing the rooftop dish and installing a new dish on the ground because of large trees that interfere with reception. The dish is an eyesore as it lies close to and between our patio and the rest of the pleasant backyard. I am thinking of incorporating it into a new garden bed and wish to plant something on the non-interfering side of it (what we would see when on patio) that would lessen its unsightliness. The dish stands about 5 1/2 feet tall. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might plant in front of it that will grow fairly high in the Michigan summer but not interfere? I don't want everygreen shrubs or anything on a trellis. I was thinking more on the lines of a tall grass or some type of high-growing plants. Thank you.

Isn't it somewhat obvious that if I could move the dish I wouldn't be asking these questions!!!!!!
