Okra Mutation?

Abrupt_SkillsJune 8, 2014

This burgundy okra plant I have is growing more like a radish? And I'm pretty positive It came from an okra seed.

I don't think that is an okra plant. The leaf shape is wrong and the color is wrong for burgundy okra. Maybe a stray radish or beet seed got into your okra seeds. Or maybe you have some kind of root gall or nematode that has caused the plant to change dramatically. I hope you figure it out.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely looks more like a radish to me and I have planted cherry bell radish around the same time but it is much bigger than the cherry bells at this point. I'll keep it going to see if I can get it to seed to see what they look like. Any other comments or suggestions are welcome.
