Artichokes and avacados!

I'm vacationing in the Santa Cruz area this week and I'm finding artichokes and avacados 10 for a buck! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
Ran into an artichoke farmer who said to either use soaps for aphids or ants or just spray them EVERY day with water!
I'm thinking of trying artichokes again! Nancy

Nancy, I'll send you $10 for a flat-rate box and all the baby artichokes you can fit in one... :) don't think that would be such a hot idea with the avocados, alas. You are invited to (re)join the pursuit of artichoke with those of us who are all crazy about them!

At least the mache is up here. I'll go make me a salad and ignore its extreme lack of avocado...
