Dwarf Conifer Shade

What is the best dwarf conifer for full shade? Does Bird's Nest Spruce grow in full shade?

Nest Spruce does not like shade. Needle-leaf evergreens are generally full sun plants. Broadleaf evergreens such as euonymus, azalea, rhododendron, holly, ......mere generally are shade tolerant.

Yews (Taxus sp.) are the most shade tolerant of the needled evergreens - they will grow in well even if in heavy shade. And there are many low growing or dwarf forms.

What about hemlock (Tsuga)? Or is that not appropriate for Missouri? I have the dwarf form 'Jeddeloh'.
