Bell Peppers and pollination

MeaWea(7a)June 1, 2014

My mini yellow pepper start that I bought earlier this spring is finally producing flowers! A week ago it had one, which withered and it currently has three new, small white blossoms. Do I need to pollinate them myself? The blossoms are so small, I'm worried about damaging them as I can't even see into them TO pollinate.

Thanks! Any help is appreciated!!

I am new to vegetables so I may not be of any help, but I thought that peppers are pollinated the shame way as tomatoes (lightly tap the bloom a few times) well thats what I have been doing and my peppers are producing. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

Yeah, just leave them alone and you'll be fine. They will make peppers.

Yup, they self pollinate. If their outdoors - do nothing, it'll take care of its own pollination. If indoors (with a fan), same result as outdoors. The only issue would be indoors with no air circulation, in which case you would likely need to tap the flowers a time or two to pollinate - although they shouldn't be without at least a fan, if for nothing but proper growth/health alone.
