Design question on side flower bed - photo included!

Please take a look at the attached URL (hope it works). I have a question specifically about the two trellises against the house. There is a slight grade such that one trellis is about 1 foot lower than the other. The question is this - should I dig a deeper hole on the higher trellis to bring them level - or does it look better 'as-is'. Obviously the rest of the plants will follow the slope so I was thinking it may look funny to bring the higher trellis down with a deeper hole.

Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not being flip, but I find this to be in the "why " category. You obviously didn't buy graduated sized conifers, etc. to acommodate the slope.

When whatever you have growing on the trellises grows up and over, no one but the most anal retentive would see much of any difference.

Stepping down will be fine as long as you keep each panel plumb.
