Planter saucer, ring, tray - DIY and cheap

trungson(9b San Jose CA)July 31, 2011

I bought 20 of 16-inch planters on clearance for $3.30 each and the tray/saucer is not on sales so it's like $4 or so, more than the planter itself, which does not make economical sense.

Any idea for DIY or cheap options? I put these on the outdoor deck so would like to raise the planter a bit above the deck, or something in between to avoid direct water contact with the deck.

Thanks

Check round platters/plates in 99Cent stores. Some are deep enought to work as plant saucers, I have used them before. Linda
