Sick Bay Tree in container

maren_mAugust 17, 2013

Hi there -

Wondering if anyone out there knows about Bay trees in containers.

I've had mine for about two years and it's always been a bit sick.
Currently, the plant gets new growth but any leaf that reaches maturity dries out and drops off. So all the branches are bare except for the very tips.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong/what I can do?

Your tree is not getting nourishment from its roots. The usual reason for this is the mix it is planted in or the way it is being watered and fed. I would start by re potting into a known mix such as those suggested on this forum. Al

Can you post a picture? Then we can see the symptoms and the sort of container it's in.
