Rain Flushing Medium

When the rainy season started in Miami, I gave up on my tomatoes for the season. As the plants died off I yanked them as necessary. Now some of the plants are coming back. There must have been a buildup of minerals in the medium.

I live on the Treasure Coast and I also get alot of rain. My plants are producing like no tomarrow so why would you pull your plants now? In a few weeks the rainy season is over put tomatos like a lot of water.
