Low cost mix for indoor lettuce

howelbama(7 NJ)September 5, 2011

Im going to try growing some lettuce indoors. I was thinking of using straight turface or a 50/50 mix of turface and perlite. Any thoughts?

For a fast crop like lettuce any commercial mix will work, and I would not go the trouble and expense of a special mix. Al
