Beneficial Insects and Nematodes

jaleeisa(6b Oklahoma)March 25, 2008

I was wondering how many use these and if anyone might have any for trade or something. I'm looking specifically for ladybugs, praying mantids and nematodes to control flies, etc. the ones for flies also organically control fleas, and since I have my Boston Terrier, I'd like to be able to do this organically. and we live in an area of Oklahoma that is really awful with flies during the warmer weather. Or if anyone knows of a place to find them that's both affordable and with proven results for their products(personal reference would be great!)Most of them seem to cater more to large area farmers rather than homeowners with smaller yards/gardens.

Hi Kathy,

I bought praying mantis eggs on e-bay. Last year was the first year that I tried them and think that they really help keeping unwanted bugs away. I also order all natural fertilizers, fungicide, soil enhancers, etc. from Gardens Alive. The products that they offer are great and right now they have $25 off any order of $50.
