4/6/09 Question of the Week (with pics)
whew...this is 2 days late as I pondered what to ask. With the daffodil season in full swing here, I have daffodil questions for you.
SO...do you grow daffodils
Do you collect daffodils?
How big is your collection?
Do you exhibit at shows (competitions)?
Have you ever just attended a daff show that was open to the public?
2009 Daffodil Events & Show Calendar There are shows from the earliest of March 6 until May 3rd in various parts of the country, CA, TX, MN included. Is there one near you?
Do you belong to a local Daffodil Society? If you love daffs like I do, I encourage you to try and find one that is hopefully local for you. There you will meet others that share their love of this beautiful flower. It is a great way to learn how to grow, show, acquire more varieties, along with fun volunteer opportunities to promote daffs. Beware!!! There are daffodil enablers everywhere there.
Do you belong to the ADS? (American Daffodil Society)
Did you know that they come in color combinations of
# W - White or Whitish
# G - Green
# Y - Yellow
# P - Pink
# O - Orange
# R - Red
There are of course spring blooming varieties from very early to extra late and even fall or autumn blooming ones.
