This is the second time I've grown Triple Yellow Datura and like the first time it's not going to produce seed before the cold weather kills it. Has anyone here ever tried to dig and overwinter one of these in their garage?
Hi Jim! I did last year,I am thinking they would have made it had I not sprained my foot. I wasn't able to get them water for about a month and 1/2 and I think that is what did it. I brought them in in Oct. and they were doing "ok" until January when I hurt my foot.I asked this question on the Brug forum last year also and got some really great info!

With my black swirl i got no blooms yet. i got them in a pot inside, will see how they do. ill check out Angies link too:)
Good luck jim6b
i brought mine inside in the winter last year and put all my plants in one huge pot, they did great, all they needed was water, light and talking to. which talla did alot of that and when spring came i planted them out and everything went great! ~medo
I have overwintered them in the garage in pots, but they seem to do much better from seed in the yard.
They bloom later, but the plants are bigger and I get more flowers.
