Sue and Fran, guess what I did.
I wanted to let you know that I finally went to the post office today. I've been putting it off because of what happened last time. I went in armed with all of the necessary information that was posted on their website and told the postal worker I wanted her to weigh a bubble envelope to see what the postage would be. She said it would be $1.32. I asked if that was the parcel rate and she said yes. I presented her with the information I had, she got her template out and after checking the BE agreed with me. This is when the other 5 postal workers got involved. They were behind the counter arguing with each other about my BE and there was about 10 people behind me, in a hurry, wanting to mail their packages. I wish I had a video camera. A supervisor came in and took me and the lady that was helping me to the department that decides what postage rates should be. There were three people in there and all agreed it was a large envelope and not a parcel. I told them that their employees had been overcharging for a long time and they needed to retrain them. They agreed with me again and told me they would make sure their employees knew what the correct rates were. I can't believe it! It's finally over.
