feeding chickens purslane...

tasymoApril 28, 2008

I have heard that feeding purslane to chickens results in eggs with a high omega 3 content. Anyone heard of this? How would you feed it to them? Harvest the purslane or simply give the chickens access to the growing plants? Thanks! Kathy

People who sell the seeds seem to think it raises the Omega in their eggs.
