dry ground...chickens

gran5June 25, 2012

My son has 9 chickens, he made a nice coop for them, during the day he lets them out to free range, its very dry, no rain forever, they are taking dust baths every where, in the flower beds even, I am thinking if she waters more they would not like that and maybe stay out of them, any ideas? I know cayenne pepper keeps dogs etc away from things, but chickens I am not sure.

Chicken wire is good for keeping chickens out of the garden. It's going to take fencing to keep them out. Chickens aren't affected by hot peppers.
