In your opinion, what is the best broody chicken?

I mean full sized birds. I had some banty cochin hens that were awesome broodies, but they hardly covered any eggs. They were real sweet birds though. I need to get some broody birds next year, my guinea hens are ruining my hatches, and my incubator is being naughty. Thanks! :)

Cochins are good brooders. I don't think anything can beat a silkie for broodiness, but they are banty's.

I am also looking for a good broody hen. I would prefer a silky. Is there Anyone in Western Maine that has silkies for sale?

Our Buff Orphingtons are the ones who have gone broody most often--and one Speckled Sussex.
We have Columbian Wyandottes too and none has gone broody.
