WANTED: fruit and nuts

leila hamaya(8 nor cal)July 7, 2013

i've recently moved to a better climate for growing fruit =)

so i am looking for fruit tree seeds, berries, grapes, or annual fruit, and any kind of nut.

i am patient of course, we gardeners have to be patient, so if you will have some fruit seeds soon please send me an email. figure this is getting to be the right time of year to get some, but i will certainly wait.

have many varieties of veggies, flowers, and edibles to trade, check my list.

would also be interested in other trades as well.

I have a dozen or so Catawba grape seeds (V. labrusca) currently and will have much more by the end of next week if you're interested. It looks like you've got quite a bit to trade so let me peer over your list a while.

*The seeds are from a vine in my own garden and have not seen any sort of chemicals. Catawbas are a cultivar of the American native Vitis labrusca and should reproduce true to form. They make excellent table fare and are great for wines, jams, and jellies as well. Hardy to zone 4 and take approximately 2-4 years to produce.

Email sent! :)

I've heard they have a "foxy" or earthy taste compared to other varieties but I've never heard them called fox grapes...learn something new every day!
