Replant?

dinahsJune 23, 2013

Hi, I'm new to GardenWeb and anything related to gardening. I bought both perennials and annuals the other day and planted them all. I'm not sure I like where I placed them and wondered if I can dig them back up and move them to another spot without harm?

And does it matter where I buy my plants? The nursuries are usually more expensive than places like Walmart or Home Depot but is there a significant difference in the long run?

Thanks!

Yes, you can replant, but I would wait for a day that isn't too hot or too sunny. I worked in a greenhouse with a family who had owned it for 83 years, throughout generations.Yes, it's more expensive, but the difference is the quality of the soil, the consistency of water and temperature and the general care and pruning the plant receives. If nothing else, buy your perennials from an established nursery. There's usually a year guarantee.
