Trip to Butchart Gardens

Really enjoyed a trip to Butchart Gardens in Victoria this summer. It's an incredible floral display. For anyone who has not been there, the Garden is a former mining site, so much of it is lower than the surrounding area, as shown in the photo below.

I lived in Brentwood Bay, just 5 minutes away but only managed to visit the gardens once. Now I look back and see how foolish I was!

What's sad is that you can't gain access during the most spectacular season without the place being crowded. To wander through in solitude - they should sell lottery tickets!

Buchart Gardens is gorgeous. We are planning to go on an Alaskan cruise next summer and one of the stops is Victoria. I am SO looking forward to seeing Buchart on that stop! Thank you for posting the picture.
