I have seen large colchicum bulbs (byzantium) for sale this week. They say they can be grown without soil. Do you know when they will bloom? Will it be this fall or next year at the end of summer?? The instructions do not say. Thanks!

august is a proper time for planting colchicum bulbs,so
they will bloom this fall.
They can bloom even soilless, but why not to plant them right away? My single bulb is still blooming, putting on bloom after bloom.

Thanks for the tip. Now I can buy and plant some outdoors.. I hope they'll have time to bloom for a while here in the cold fall weather... do they take cold well, I wonder...
