Can someone please tell me what this vine is. It comes up every year with very little care.

It must be a Clematis, perhaps C. vitalba

I have this growing in my yard. I was told it was Virgin's Bower. It grows wild in New England and in some cases is considered an invasive vine (weed), in others I've seen it sold at nursery for $30.00 a plant. Either way, it makes a great canopy for arbors and it smells wonderful when in bloom.
