September glories, a tour of my garden.

linnea2(z5 NY)September 16, 2006

I never posted much in this forum, but walking around a few days ago

I decided this was all too beautiful not to share with other people

(I have no local garden buddy in the geek category, where I place myself,

so I'm hoping other geeks out there will enjoy these.

I don't have a web site gallery, so they are all in separate posts,

sorry for the inconvenience!

The Caryopteris have outdone themselves this year, the winter was mild,

so there was a lot of live growth to give them a head start,

at least I'm assuming that to be the reason.

Since I followed advice and deadheaded all my Heleniums, I actually got

them to bloom with the Coreopsis this year, waahoo!

In the background is an old apple tree bearing a Silver Lace vine in flower

and, barely discernable, a dogwood that died and got spray painted silver.

Thank you Kareen!

The 9 pictures are all in separate posts on the Garden Photo Gallery, sorry Blackie and Highalttransplant.
It's irritating to be so backward, but I haven't got an online album.

Also, correction, I meant the Heleniums were blooming with the Caryopteris,
not Coreopsis.
